Faculty

Ms. Bricks 

She is a NJ certified English teacher. She has been teaching for more than 10 years. Ms. Bricks has two bachelor degrees: Elementary Education and English as a second language. She holds a master degree in arts, reading and literacy education.  As a reading specialist, Ms. Bricks specializes in identifying students' reading and writing needs through assessment and evaluation of diagnostic tests and observational data. She designs an unique program for each student based on the student's weakness and growth needs.


Mrs. Connell

She is a NJ certified  highly qualified teacher who has been teaching Physics for over 25 years in public schools. She has a master degree in Science Education. She has taught AP physics I, Honors physics and College Prep Physics. Mrs. Connell is an expert in turning any difficult concept into something anyone can understand. She is extremely patient with all students. Mrs. Connell is highly praised, respected and admired by all her students and her colleagues.


Mr. Evans

He is a NJ certified highly qualified Chemistry teacher who has been teaching AP and Honors Chemistry for over 20 years. He owns two Master degrees on Chemistry Education and Education Technology. He has maintained a class average of 4.3 on the AP Exam. Mr. Evans evaluates students' strengths and weaknesses and design a plan that will specifically address areas in need of improvement. He thoroughly reviews all concepts, improves problem solving techniques and strategies, all to improve overall understanding of chemical principles. He knows what takes for students to get a perfect score of 5 in AP Chemistry test, and 800 for the SAT II Chemistry test.


Ms. Ghafoor 

She has a bachelor degree from Dartmouth college. She holds a master degree in Biomedical sciences. Ms. Ghafoor has worked for Darmouth as an undergraduate advisor. She has tutored students for MCAT and in high school and college biology and chemistry in both high school and college levels. Ms. Ghafoor is current a Stem lead teacher for talent students in a public school.


Mr. Ruben 

He is a NJ certified k-12 math teacher with a bachelor degree in mathematics and computer science. Mr. Gomez has 15 years of experience in teaching and tutoring students in public schools. Mr. Gomez has worked for multiple school districts and comes with a lot of experience handling students from all backgrounds. Mr. Gomez is eager to help students academically. He has also been a great mentor and role model for many students.


Ms. Hu

She is a NJ state certified highly qualified teacher who taught at Fujian Teachers' University, Anglo-Chinese College in Fuzhou China, the College of NJ. She is currently a Chemistry teacher at a NJ public High School. She has taught College General Chemistry in China, AP Chemistry (STEM), Honors Chemistry, and prepared students for SAT II Chemistry and AP Chemistry Exam in the past 20 years.  Most of Ms. Hu's students who sought private tutoring went to IVY league colleges. Hu's teaching focuses on deep understanding of the concepts instead of pure memorization. As a result, not only students achieve high scores on AP/SAT II, their school works have also improved significantly. It is common to see the improvement of her students from a C/D average to A/B in school report cards. Ms. Hu has also taught AP Chemistry and SAT II Chemistry for many years at Princeton Reviews and gained high remarks from students. Numerous students under her teaching have accomplished 5 (full score) for AP, and 800 for SAT II. 


Mr. Jones 

He is a NJ state certified biology teacher who has taught AP biology and Honors biology for over 15 years.  He has a master degree in Biology. He has helped many students achieving perfect scores in AP Exam and SAT II subject test.  He has the ability to make the real world connections and make biology come alive. Mr. Jones knows how to address students' common weakness to help them improve in short period of time. His students have been performing extremely well in the AP exams.


Mrs. Singh

She is a NJ state certified highly qualified teacher who has taught AP physics II, AP physics I and Honors Physics for the past 12 years. She has a master degree in Science Education. She is always enthusiastic in her classroom. She motivates her students to share meaningful and engaging scientific experiences to create life-long learners.  She will work with you at your own pace with a positive and patient attitude to facilitate your understanding and enjoyment of Physics.

Dr. Steif 

Dr. Steif graduated from Brown University. He has a doctor degree in Physics and Math.  He has extensive knowledge in Chemistry. In the past 15 years, he has taught in many different universities including NYU Stern business school and Rutgers University. He also has extensive experience in financial industry such as Goldman Sach, Leman Brothers and Morgan Stanley as software developer. Dr. Steif has tutored students from high school to graduate school level with great success. He is well liked and respected by both parents and his students.


Ms. Witkowski 

She is a NJ state certified highly qualified biology teacher. Ms. W has taught level 1, level 2 and Honors Biology. She holds a Bachelor degree in Biology and two master degrees in Biology and Teaching. Ms. Witkowski is the recipient of a $5,000 grant from BASF to purchase microscopes for school and the recipient of the AFCEA STEM Teachers Scholarship Award. She is energetic and creative. She always thinks of different ways to engage her students to make learning a fun experience.
